Serving Food for Thought at LFA 2019

2 May 2019

We’re excited to be hosting an event as part of this year’s London Festival of Architecture.

We’ll be inviting people to join team make:good, some of the amazing people who have participated in our projects and cross-industry peers to come together for an intimate ‘Food for Thought’ dinner on 26 June 2019 from 18:30-21:00, talking about the boundaries to creating more equitable public spaces in London.

Food is one of the most powerful tools to bring people together, which is why it will be a centrepiece of our event. A delicious meal served on sharing platters will be accompanied by a menu of conversation starters and mini-talks that spark discussions around the theme of boundaries. We will explore people’s experiences of the production of public space and try to unpick why there are so many invisible and physical boundaries to people accessing and using space that should be for all.

Although this will be an intimate event for 20 – 25 people, we will extend the reach of the dinner beyond attendees via the use of audio, photography and written word to capture the conversations, which will be shared during and after the event.

Due to the limited capacity of the event, attendance will mainly be on an invite-only basis. However, there will be a small number of open spaces available – to apply for one of these spots, please fill in this form and we’ll get back to you.
