3D Design Lead

10 January 2022

We are an architecture and design studio dedicated to building positive community participation in shaping local change. We believe in meaningful and inclusive processes of local co-design, bringing people together to collaborate on building the future of their public spaces/neighbourhoods. We use our creativity and design skills to make sure that everything we do is engaging for people who aren’t design experts and are always looking for the best way to gather insight from people and build relationships.

We have a growing number of physical interventions, pavilions and public art projects and we are looking for somebody to join our team to support George on these.

This role is suited to a part 2 architectural assistant but we are open to applications from people outside of this field with the relevant experience.

Our studio is based in Stratford, however in this current climate the role will be partly working from home and will also involve being in project neighbourhoods across London.

Person Specification – the type of person we would like to employ:

  • A 3D thinker who knows how things are built and go together
  • Hands on and practical – a strong interest in actually building and making things.
  • Can produce drawings and models suitable for showing to clients and for production use by fabricators
  • Highly organised who understands the importance of meeting deadlines
  • Good at getting on with tasks, overseeing daily project programming and making sure projects happen
  • Good chat and conversation, asking great questions to garner meaningful insight from people so that the designs reflect local aspirations

The type of experience we are looking for:

  • Producing concept through to production drawings in Vectorworks and Sketch Up (other software skills always welcomed)
  • Seeing something through to building and completion
  • Getting hands on and building things
  • Liaising and co-ordinating with fabricators and installers
  • Time and budget monitoring

If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you

Salary:
£27,000 – £31,000 per annum depending on experience.

Please send your CV, cover letter and a PDF portfolio of your work to
george@make-good.com

In your cover letter please tell us about your relevant experience and why you are interested in working at make:good.

Deadline 23rd January 2022
